We're happy to announce the winners of our "Win My Minot" contest. We had over 300 entrants with great stories about what made Minot special to you and your families. Thanks for sharing all your stories. You made it hard to choose just three! Here are the winners:
Family Fun Package

My Minot story:
Minot to some may be just shopping, or just golfing. I have learned over the last 30 years or so that Minot is simply a cycle of activities that adapt to whatever stage you're at in your life. When I was a child, my parents would take me to Minot. Mom would shop, dad would hang out with me at the hotel pool. After high school, I would come down and visit friends attending Minot State and take in the nightlife. Now as a parent I come to Minot annually. My wife likes to shop, and I play with the kids at the waterpark, or we visit the zoo as a family. I look very forward to the next step in my Minot life cycle, which will be taking my wife and kids golfing when they get older. I am very happy to say, in another 30 years it could easily be one of my kids writing this exact same essay.
Girlfriend Getaway

My Minot story:
I live in a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada. My nearest city to go shopping in is Minot, I'm about 1.5 hours away. I do all my shopping in Minot for my clothing, because I find everything I need there. The clerks in all the stores in Minot are very helpful and very nice people. My friends and always plan a girls' getaway about 3 to 4 times a year and it's Minot we go every time. We always do a weekend. It's so nice and close and after working all week we head to Minot so shop and have a good time. My friends and I love Minot. I think a few years back I heard WHY NOT MINOT, and isn't that the truth. Minot I love you.
Golfing Getaway

Just a great getaway for us Canadians! Love the food, the beverages, hospitality and the people. Can't ask for a better getaway than Minot! We experienced all of the above last visit. Oh yes....your golf courses are some of the best around.
